Institute of Anthroposophic Medicine
The Institute of Anthroposophic Medicine* was created in 2023 and is a non-profit company.
The main objective of the Institute is to support the promotion of Anthroposophic Medicine in Greece, to inform, educate and develop the Anthroposophic stream of medicine to the health specialist and the citizen interested in health. Anthroposophical Medicine is an integrative polymorphic therapeutic system based on a holistic understanding of man, nature, disease and healing.
Also within the objectives of the Institute is the integration of Anthroposophical Medicine into conventional & modern medicine. For this purpose, it seeks to inform and educate the health specialist and the citizen who wants to be informed about the theoretical and practical approach of Anthroposophical medicine, (including Anthroposophical pharmacopoeia) to the extent that it concerns and approaches the following fields: Therapeutic Eurythmy, Art therapies, Rhythmic massage, Counselling, Biography, Psychotherapy, Nutrition, Biodynamic agriculture, Herbalism, Special nursing techniques, Music therapy, Therapeutic speech, Sculpture, Painting, Waldorf pedagogy, Special needs children, Camphill, embryology, Meditation and Introspection methods. For this purpose, the Institute seeks to create and establish standards regarding education, training, and post-graduate training of Anthroposophical medicine in Greece.
In this context, it seeks to coordinate activities for the creation of a network of cooperation between health professionals, pharmacists, therapists, doctors and citizens who want to be informed or specialize in anthroposophical medicine for the exchange of information and best practices in Greece.
It seeks to establish and maintain relationships with other specialized groups in Anthroposophic medicine and pharmacopoeia as well as associations or organizations of complementary or integrative medicine (integrative medicine) at the international level.
It seeks to implement training programmes in health and in particular the anthroposophical medicine approach with institutions, profit or non-profit, individuals and/or groups.
*The training program "Fundamentals in Anthroposophical Medicine" organized by the Institute of Anthroposophical Medicine is conducted in accordance with the International Core Curriculum for physician training established by the Medical Section of the School of Spiritual Science at Goetheanum (Based on the WHO benchmarks for training in Anthroposophic Medicine).
